I have been in the mental health field since 1990, and in private practice for 17 years. My background includes teaching, presenting mental health seminars, working with 'at risk' youth and professional counseling.
I attended Kutztown University from 1985 through 1989 and earned my undergraduate degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. I returned to Kutztown several years later and graduated with my master's degree in Counseling/Psychology in 1999. After that, I earned my National Board of Certified Counselors certificate and then a professional license in the state of Pennsylvania.
I have been working in private practice in Bethlehem since 1999, providing the community with the opportunity for individual, couples, and family therapy.
In addition, I had the pleasure of co-authoring a novel entitled The Light in the Shadows, a work of science fiction based on psychological principles.
My approach to counseling is tailored to meet your personal needs and goals, and draws from many of the major psychological schools of thought. I believe strongly in one's capacity and ability to change his/her life given the right tools and motivation. My hope is that you will allow me to walk with you on your own personal journey of growth.
